Shield H Quarter Horses has been actively working on establishing Quarter Horse bloodlines in the reining, cutting, and roping horse worlds. All our horses are raised out in the open country where they drink from live streams, are exposed to wildlife, dogs, cattle, traffic, ATV's, and learn to handle themselves in the real world. All our foals are home raised and trained to ensure a solid product for our clients. The more talented individuals are asked to step up to the plate and prove themselves in the competitive NRHA and AQHA show pens which include the Rocky Mountain Reining Horse Association, Cowboy States Reining Horse Association, and the Rocky Mountain Quarter Horse Association.
These performance bred horses can take you to ropings, reinings, cuttings, team-pennings, working cowhorse events, ranch horse versatility classes, the trails, and will be great all-around mounts... dependent only on how you want to finish them! They are great-minded, easy to handle, fun to train, and fantastic partners who will hold up to your program. We also know how much fun it is to ride a pretty horse so we have colors for every taste ranging from black, sorrel, chestnut, bay, dun, buckskin, palomino, grullo, red dun, gray, bay roan, blue roan, red roan, dun roan, buckskin roan, and even a cremello or perlino on occasion!
We have reining, cutting, and roping bred mares and stallions with Dots Jessie, Doc O Lena, Smart Little Lena, Docs Lynx, Dry Doc, Gallo Del Cielo (Rooster), King Fritz, Bueno Chexinic, Lowry Star, Reminic, Shining Spark, Uno Rooster, Master Snapper, Nic It In The Bud, and Hollywood Dun It in our breeding program.
